Here’s an update from today’s Polar Night Halfmarathon course.

Yes, it is a bit slippery, but pavements from 3 km to 18 km for those running the halfmarathon (from 3 to 7 for those running 10k) are generally good with snow/ice and gravel on top of the asphalt. There will be a bit slippery from the start to the pavements at 3 km (and from 18 to the finish) and around the airport.
For those not used to running on snow/ice, spikes are probably recommended. However, I will not run with spikes (and seldom do, despite living here in Tromsø).
